2.5 Billion Dollar Fund launched

Since its inception in 2013, the Paradigm investment fund has made a substantial contribution to the development of the decentralized financial ecosystem.

In addition, Paradigm plans to ramp up its efforts with the creation of a new ecosystem-wide investment fund.

Fred Ehrsam is also a cofounder of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, while Matt Huang is a former associate of the venture capital firm Sequoia Capital.

Finally, as a result of this fundraising effort, Paradigm One has taken control of the capital-risk fund launched by Andreesen Horowitz, which had been successful in raising $2 billion dollars.

In a statement, Paradigm's co-founders and managing partners, Fred Ehrsam and Matt Huang declared:

“Our mission at Paradigm remains unchanged: to be the earliest and most helpful partner to crypto entrepreneurs and communities. We’ll continue incubating ideas. We’ll continue investing at the earliest stages when there’s just glimmer of an idea. We’ll also partner with later-stage category leaders, and support companies at every stage in between. There has never been a more exciting time to work in crypto, and we are grateful to our limited partners for their ongoing support and to the entrepreneurs who’ve entrusted us as their partners.”
