Few global fashion executives have had such an influential role in contributing to the digitisation of the business of fashion. As the Founder of The ORDRE Group launched 2014 under his direction the company has developed and launched several innovative fashion technologies. ORDRE created the world’s first multi-brand virtual showroom platform for B2B and is now the industry leader in custom virtual showrooms. ORB360 ̊ has become the default 360 ̊ view image technology for luxury fashion brands globally. AUTHENTIQUE is set to redefine product authenticity and digital ownership through revolutionary blockchain based visual recognition and NFT technologies. Simon currently leads a global team of product managers, software and hardware engineers, sales directors, digital marketers and executives across operations in New York, LA, London, Milan, Paris, Sydney, Shanghai and Tokyo. Prior to establishing The ORDRE Group Lock was SVP and MD of IMG Fashion & Models having sold the fashion week he established in 1996, Australian Fashion Week to IMG. Concurrently with Australian Fashion Week Lock owned and operated Spin Communications from 1992 to 2010, Asia Pacific’s leading youth and fashion digital marketing communications agency. Other fashion technology innovations instigated by Lock during his career include: the first live streaming of a fashion show in 2000, establishing the first fashion week in the world to have a digital presence, establishing an early fashion blog Stylebyte and the first commercial use of virtual reality headsets for fashion shows. Simon is an inaugural member of BoF Global 500, a recipient of the Australian Fashion Laureate and best-selling author of In The Front Row (Melbourne University Press, available on www.amazon.com). As a keynote speaker on fashion technology Simon has addressed Web Summit Lisbon, Conde Nast International Conference London, Shanghai Fashion Week IT Conference, Melbourne Fashion Festival and InDigital Singapore. As a media commentator he has contributed to CNN, WWD, Business of Fashion, Vogue Business, Financial Times, NY Times, Fashion Network, International Herald Tribune and many others over a career spanning 40 years in the industry. Simon is married to ORDRE Group co-founder Kirsten Lock, has five children and is based between Paris and London.
